小牧市中央図書館イベントスペースで、39名（日本人2名、ベトナム人14名、中国人1名ほか）の方にご参加いただきました。

講師の白井実穂子氏から、海外協力隊としてベトナムで活動した経験を紹介していただきました。一般的な活動報告ではなく、現地で驚いたことや楽しかったこと、ベトナムでの生活、各地への旅行、ベトナムの人々との交流など、協力隊員ならではの視点からお話しいただき、参加者がベトナムを身近に感じられる内容となりました。ベトナム人参加者からも「日本人から見たベトナムを知る貴重な機会だった」との声が聞かれました。

その後、ベトナムの遊び「カップタワーゲーム」をチーム対抗で体験。日本人とベトナム人が言葉の壁を越えて協力し、自然な交流が生まれました。さらに、市内のベトナムレストランの協力で、ベトナムコーヒーやお菓子の試飲・試食も行いました。オーナーから食文化について説明していただき、味わいながら参加者同士が会話を楽しむなど、ベトナムへの理解を深めるとともに、国籍を超えた交流の機会となりました。

The event was held at the Event Space of Komaki Central Library, with 39 participants (including two Japanese, 14 Vietnamese, one Chinese, and others).

Our guest speaker, Ms. Mihoko Shirai, shared her experiences working in Vietnam as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer. Rather than giving a typical activity report, she spoke about her surprising and fun experiences, daily life, travels across the country, and interactions with local residents. Her unique perspective as a volunteer helped participants feel a closer connection to Vietnam. Vietnamese attendees also noted that it was a valuable opportunity to learn how Vietnam is viewed from a Japanese perspective.

With the cooperation of a local Vietnamese restaurant in Komaki, we also offered Vietnamese coffee and snacks for sampling. The restaurant owner explained aspects of Vietnamese food culture, allowing participants to chat and connect while enjoying the refreshments. The event provided a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of Vietnam and promote cross-cultural exchange.
