On Saturday, February 15, "the
Japanese cooking class" was held at the city community center.
Fourteen foreigners from five countries and
seven volunteers participated.” The students made “Chicken Nanban,” “Mushroom
Sumashi Soup,” and “Shiratama Azuki Ball with Strawberries” under the guidance
of Ms. Ryuko Kurachi. The participants commented, “The meat inside was tender
and delicious,” “The crispy chicken was delicious,” “It was good that parents
and children could participate together,” and “The volunteers were very kind.
All participants were able to learn about Japanese cuisine while experiencing
each other's culture.
